Abstract

Objective of the studу. Relevance and universality of issues requiring urgent solutions in technical, organizational and methodological aspects related to the development of distance learning technology and their capabilities.  The significant disadvantages of using traditional classroom teaching methods in distance learning conditions are considered in detail, especially in the context of checking and monitoring intermediate and final learning outcomes. The methodological basis of the research. The empirical and analytical article is based on the knowledge of the literature of the issue and the author's distance teaching practice, in conditions of complete self-isolation in 2020–2022, which raised a number of key issues that require urgent professional solutions, taking into account the prospects of distance learning formats. Research results. The article raises important questions and suggests desirable solutions and adaptations for discussion, formulates the basic conditions for the introduction of distance learning, taking into account its current capabilities. Prospects of the study are manifested in the need to solve the issues raised and remove the problem of checking and controlling intermediate and final learning outcomes in a distance format.
