Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the term «command» (amr) in the Qur’ān, which is a key source of images of power in Islamic culture. According to the methodology of K.S. Kashtaleva and T. Izutsu, the complex of meanings of «command» is analyzed in relation to Islamic ontology, angelology, prophetology, ideas about society and anthropology.
