Grant Funding and the Development of Social Sciences and Humanities in Russia: Bibliometrical Findings

In the article on the base of the Web of Science data some aspects of the domestic and foreign grant funding in the development of the social sciences and humanities in Russia are discussed. The authors consider the thematic priorities of the Russian and foreign foundations in the context of the financial support of the social sciences and humanities in Russia. The thematic areas which reveal the strong dependence on the grant support, including the one from abroad have been marked out. The authors also examine the shares of the Russian Academy of Sciences and universities in the Russian publications flow in the Web of Science.
