Abstract

This article studies the influence of family institution on modernization processes in society. The authors trace the evolution of family and marriage relations; identify modern development trends of family institution and its key issues. A huge role the family plays in the processes of reproduction, socialization of the younger generation, which are aimed at shaping the quality of human capital of Russia. The main attention is paid to the measures of state support to the Russian families, aimed at improving material well-being, social status and prestige of the family.
