Abstract
The article deals with the problem of electoral trust as an important factor of the political process in modern Russia. The paper highlights the anthropological, axiological, institutional profiles of electoral credibility, and their correlation. It shows that the trust depends on the characteristics of the electoral process. The authors identify mediatization, mythologizing and expertization as the basic risk factors. The study notes the dependence of electoral credibility on the political culture of the society. Personal level of political trust is more significant than institutional and generic levels in the Russian experience. The authors conceptualize risk trends of electoral credibility in 2005-2015 as trends of monopolization and pluralization. Urgency of the problem of confidence is specified in the context of the upcoming elections to the State Duma in 2016.
