Kaliningrad Region as an Object of Regional Security Implementation

The article considers the mechanism of ensuring regional security of the Kaliningrad region and its cooperation with the European Union in the modern economic and political situation. This work consists of three parts: the first one is demonstrating the general basis of the modern component of the economic and political situation in the Kaliningrad region; the second one will show the key directions in the interaction of the Kaliningrad region and the EU, and the third one will consider ways to improve cooperation between the EU and the Kaliningrad region. Novelty and relevance of the article is to review the main directions of the development of the Kaliningrad region in the period of sanctions against the Russian Federation, and during the crisis period as well.
