Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of political values influence on the process of modernization in Russia and Poland. The authors underline the fact that values have a great impact on the current process of political and economic modernization both in Russia and in Poland and sign out some common value changes in Russians' and Poles' consciousness in the process of democratic transit.
