Abstract
The article analyzes the role of the educational space in formation of the civil identity of youth. It is proved that an effective tool for social, cultural and political integration of young people in the Russian society is the education system. In the conclusion of the article the necessity of compliance of strategies and technologies of education with the goals of formation of the Russian civil identity and of regional circumstances is noted.
