Abstract

The author analyzes the complexities of relationships of authority and academic historians. The article also discusses the problem of the contradictory stages of the development of historical science in pre-Soviet and Soviet periods. Using the data of the sociological survey, held in the Ural industrial centers, the author discusses the student youth opinion about the topical issues of the Russian society, such as the problem of patriotism, immigration sentiment, morality and infantilism.
