Abstract
The article discusses the mechanisms of the involvement and mobilization of citizens into civil network movements. The authors claim that the election cycle in 2011-2012 in Russia was a turning point in the life of society, when the protest movement and the problem of the values and unity of Russian society rose. The authors pay the special attention to the role of the Internet in formation and development of the network of movements. The article characterizes the organizational features of the mobilization process in civic and political campaigns. The authors analyze the example of cooperation within the civil campaign against the nickel mining in the Voronezh region. The positive results of the socio-political campaigns in Russia raise the civic responsibility. The peculiarity of modern mechanisms of social mobilization is in the use of operational communication and online forums for discussion. So it is important not only to formulate correctly the idea of social mobilization, but also to bring it quickly to the audience.
