Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the military sphere of society, need and ways of its development. In the paper some theoretical and methodological approaches to clarification of the essence of the military sphere are presented. The author pays the considerable attention to the analysis of political, economic, social, cultural and actually military bases of the military sphere and the factors that define their development. The structural elements of the military sphere are also studied in the paper: the author pays special attention to the institutional and administrative aspects, military and power, professional and personnel ones. The resume of the paper is based on the idea that the improvement of bases and structural components of the military sphere are the main ways of its development in the situation of the need in ensuring the national and military security.
