Abstract
This article is devoted to the factors that are associated with the development of the epistemic problems in Russia and the USSR. The author examines the relationship between philosophy and science in terms of ideologization of science, and shows how social climate and global scientific achievements have influenced philosophical and scientific research at the beginning of the 20th century.
