Abstract
The study is devoted to the impact of redistribution as well as personnel policу of the federal center on the evolution of subnational (regional) political regimes. The results show that the basic extra-regional procedural factors contribute to the growth of regional authoritarianism. This finding illustrates synchronization of regime's transformation at federal and subnational levels in the context of recentralization as the main political consequence which is comparable with the trend of increasing dependence of the regions from the federal center.
