Abstract

The article examines social condition and social wellbeing of students of Tver higher education institutions. Social well-being is considered as an integral characteristic of satisfaction with the individual (group) different aspects of their life and as an indicator of the effectiveness of the social policy. Features of social condition of students of Tver region come to light by the analysis of the results of the authors’ sociological research. In general the Tver students are satisfied with the contents and conditions of educational activity. Most of them are planning to work in their specialty in the Tver region. The most pressing problems of students are their material well-being, learning difficulties, possibilities of employment and some others.
