Problems of Protection of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of the Russian Federation

The article attempts to identify and analyze some of the key regulatory principles of the state policy in the sphere of the protection and the further development of national cultures and languages of indigenous minority peoples of the Russian Federation. It is shown that, along with the rights of an individual person, of the same value are the rights of a single collective, ethnic, religious, cultural, linguistic and other minorities. This is evidenced by a large range of international legal documents, dealing with this issue. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the Articles of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the most important legal acts, on which the policy of the state to protect the rights of indigenous peoples, and to maintain and develop their traditional culture and language is founded.
