Abstract
The number of industrial parks has been rapidly increasing for the recent years. Their total number was supposed to be 127 to 2020. However, in 2015 153 industrial parks were registered in the National geo-information system of industrial parks, supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The development of engineering infrastructure of industrial parks is financed by private investors and regional authorities. In turn, the government subsidized expenditures of regional authorities and companies operating industrial parks. Law framework, aiming to support industrial parks’ development, is only forming. In 2015, the criteria of selection of industrial parks for getting national support were revised. It is anticipated, that requirements of selection procedure can be an obstacle in getting subsidies from the government.
