Abstract
The developing regional policy is characterized by the interaction with the major federal and regional business structures. The interests of financial and industrial groups (FIGs) often lie in political, administrative and management plane, which leads to different scenarios of interaction between government and business in the framework of the electoral process. Now it is possible to note the existence of a sustainable effect of the FIGs on the regional policy, which became aggravated during the election cycle, associated with the federal campaign of candidates for deputies to the State Duma and regional governors' elections.
