Abstract

The article describes new opportunities and new indicators of the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index). First, we mean a list of articles, that are included in the Russian pool of the Web of Science (RSCI), and impact-factors of RSCI that are calculated based on the RSCI core and RSCI. Then the authors analyze the reasons of the fact that the h-index of many authors decreased. Among them, there are the following ones: changes of base publications, accepted for the calculation; changes in citation databases, which excludes the non-fiction as well as other non-scientific publications, abstracts of publications. In addition, the authors explain the differences in five h-indexes published in the RISC. They pay attention to new figures published on the article pages and information on quoting in various citation indexes and altmetrics.
