Abstract
The article examines the processes of migration policy in modern Russia, and mechanisms of assistance to voluntary resettlement to Russia of compatriots living abroad, as one of directions of this policy. The author examines problems of implementation of the program approved by the President on rendering assistance to voluntary resettlement to Russian Federation of compatriots living abroad. The paper also investigates prospects for the development of this program.
