Abstract
In the article, the author considers the last work by the Russian cultural scientist Andrey Pelipenko «Counter-evolution». On the base of his sense-genetical theory of culture, he gives explanation to the processes of the profound devolution of the West and the western mentality. The main idea giving the clue to understanding of the crisis in all spheres of life in the contemporary western society is the end of the logocentric epoch. The explanation and analysis of its essence are in the focus of the author's attention.
