Abstract

The article briefly discusses the Icelandic model of cooperative governance and the key role of populism as a political tool. The author concludes that the cooperative governance model on due to its flexibility, variability and non-engagement is able to resist the political and economic challenges of any complexity. This model is consistent with the principles of post-anarchism: autonomy, voluntary association, self-organization, mutual aid, pure democracy, absence of ideology and political center. Perhaps that is what political practice needs nowadays to overcome crisis of meanings and goals. The ambiguous, certainly interesting experience of Icelandic political management and witty populist tools can be the key to understanding the new world political reality of the post-truth era.
