Abstract
The theory of controlled chaos is perceived in Russia mainly as a malicious invention of the West, used by it in its own interests and to detriment of other countries and peoples. However, this theory has primarily a scientific content, based on the achievements of synergetics and the natural science theory of chaos. This scientific content can be used to improve the quality of management of social processes, social design, and achievement of desired states in various segments of society.
