Abstract
The political system of modern Iran is an embodiment of the vision of Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini who introduced new ideas in the Shiite classical doctrine. Religious and political life of the Iranian people relies on this legacy until the present day. However, there is still the opposite view that the changes made by Khomeini fail to reflect the essence of the Shiite doctrine. It is important to understand the essence of these changes and to what extent the opinion of the opponents of the modern Iranian authorities is correct.
