Abstract
The article describes the contents and history of the creation, distribution and research of well-known in old China, but poorly studied in Russian and world Sinology the religious and ethical treatise «Taishang gan-ying pian» [«The chapters of the highest on action and response»]. As a result of the textual analysis and translation of the treatise the author establishes similarities and differences between the test works with its main source – the Taoist alchemical writing «Baopu-zi» written by Ge Hong (283–343 AD).
