Abstract
The article examines techniques and methods of the information war of Ukraine against Russia in 2013–2018. These include misinformation, biased management of information, false information stuffing, assembling of texts and pictures taken from various sources, derogatory characteristics of the enemy, creation of enemy image, etc. It is important for the researcher to see these techniques, try to separate the fiction from the truth and strive for objectivity in the studying the information in the media.
