Abstract

The article examines the methodology of political studies on the basis of the materials of the book «Theory and Methods in Modern Political Science» edited by S.U. Larsen. The authors of the article analyzed the formation of theories and laws in political science, defined some of their characteristic features and investigated the methodology for verifying the theories examined in the text of the this book. The article was prepared in the framework of the scientific school «State Policy and Management», functioning on a permanent basis in the Civil Defense Academy EMERCOM of Russia.
