Abstract
The current context of global political processes is associated with factors that weaken the identities of the life of society. The loss of the traditional national cultural identity, the deformation of the Russian mentality and the erosion of basic cultural and moral values present an urgent threat to national security and require the improvement of the theory and practice of implementing state policy. The concept of the policy of forming and strengthening the Russian identity can become a basis for the development of the perspective direction of the state policy of Russia.
