Abstract
The article is devoted to the political and legal regulation of international cooperation of regions of states. The main attention is paid to the relevance and special principles of the political and legal regulation of the ICR, such as the principle of regionalization, federalization, autonomy, self-government, decentralization, subsidiarity; the principle of rational distribution of functions and the division of powers in international relations and relations between the state and its regions; the principle of coordination of international relations of regions; the principle of harmonization of the legal space of international activities of the state and its regions, and the liberalization of the economy. The author analyzes each of them and considers them in interrelation and interdependence.
