Abstract
The article reveals the importance of active patriotism as a link of moral image of a person, and describes the features of social uncertainty as a factor of formation of civil-patriotic characteristics of youth. The authors reveal the role of culture, historical memory, traditions in the formation of civil identity. The paper indicates an objective need to restore the function of education in civil-patriotic work and to increase the status of teacher as a symbol of morality and patriotism.
