Abstract
The article considers the relationship between the strategy of digital development of Russia and the transition of television to digital broadcasting. The author analyzes the role of the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament in the implementation of The State Program of Digital Economy of the Russian Federation, in defending the interests of the population of the regions in the situation with the disconnection of analog television. The article discusses the prospects of regional television in the digital development of the country.
