Personality as the Personification of the Feat of the People During the Great Patriotic War

This article is devoted to the history of formation of the Orel School of guerrilla shots. The famous saboteur colonel I.G. Starinov played the important role in its creation. Thanks to his efforts, yesterday’s workers and collective farmers, volunteers from army units, police officers, party and Komsomol workers, sportsmen, quickly mastered secret methods of activity in the enemy’s rear, which were owned by certain specialists of the Soviet special services and the Red Army. From 1941 until the autumn of 1943, a comprehensive base of the partisan movement was created, and it had a key influence on the effectiveness of the activity of partisans during the Great Patriotic War. The abilities put by I.G. Starinov at the Oryol School of guerrilla shots found its application during local wars of the 20th century, in which the Soviet fighters of special forces were involved.
