Abstract
Based on the European Social Survey data for 2016, the ranking of values shared by young people in Russia is given. The author considers the attitude of Russian youth towards migrants from the perspective of the value hierarchy. Conformity, risk-novelty, tradition – these are the three main values shared by the Russian youth. The article reveals that in all variables related to attitudes towards migrants, the majority of young people shows a negative assessment. Correlation analysis shows that the relationship of values and attitudes towards migrants of Russian youth is very weak. As a result, values are a bad explanatory factor in the assessments of Russian youth in relation to migrants.
