Abstract
The article discusses the role of the State Bank in the opening of new cooperative organizations, the procedure for their lending from public funds. On the base of statistical data, the authors made a conclusion on strengthening the financial independence of credit unions, increasing their independence from the State Bank. Individual attention is paid to the auditing and instructing work of the Small Loan Department.
