Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of formation and development of multiparty system in modern Russia. It analyzes the dependence of the party composition of the legislative body of the Russian Federation on the norms of electoral legislation. The author considers the dynamics of changes in the number of party fractions from the point of view of party lists members and single mandates deputies; and determines the dependence of the voting results on the use of mixed or proportional electoral systems.
