Abstract
The relevance of the article is dictated by the requirement to update the theory of understanding of intercultural communication, the need to develop and optimize methods of its research through the prism of the anthropocentric paradigm. The methodological basis of this work is based on philosophical and cultural approaches, which are distinguished by attention directly to the process of communication, as well as to its dependence on socio-cultural experience. The practical significance lies in the possibility to use the obtained results in further scientific research, studying models, methods and tools for establishing intercultural communication, as well as ways of their functioning.
