Abstract

The article is devoted to neo-humanism as a policy of the 21st century. The aim of the work is to analyze the challenges of the era and the main characteristics of the new, real humanism. The author shows that the 21st century is the era of the transition from local development of countries and civilizations to their cooperation within the framework of globalization; from the situation of immortality to mortal mankind; from classic capitalism to information society; from the formal «real» socialism to the society of real humanism, from a limited narrow social mindset to the noosphere thinking; from opposition of liberal and socialist ideologies to their rapprochement and convergence; from understanding of progress as economic development to understanding of progress as a process of appropriation by each individual of the entire wealth of human nature.
