Abstract

In the article, the authors show the agenda and content of the all-Russian scientific conference «Russian Power as a Factor of the Historical Process» and of the all-Russian round table «Empire as a Form of Being of Russian Civilization». These scientific events took place on December 13, 2019 at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH). Along with the RSUH, the organizers of the conference and the round table were the Russian Society of Historians and Archivists and the scientific project «People and Power». The participants in the interdisciplinary discussion focused on the problems of understanding the phenomenon of the empire, the civilizational specifics of the Russian power and its role in national and world history.
