Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the norms of family legislation from the point of view of observance of gender symmetry. The author considers the principle of equality and ensuring equal opportunities for men and women, and not only for identifying norms that infringe exclusively on the rights of women and prevent them from exercising their rights granted to them on a par with men. The starting point of that is understanding of gender symmetry that applies equally to the masculine and feminine community.
