Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the Russian Federation's social functions in the virtual space. Russia’s government managed this quite well. Russia’s public services Internet-portal become the most visited public website in the world. However, contemporary social functions in Russia is implementing through the foreign information platforms. This aspect determinates some difficulties that the state is facing in the information space. The Russia’s government cannot create similar domestic production, but is working in this direction.
