Abstract

The article analyzes mythological views, moral categ ories and ethical priorities of the Mongolian people in the process of adapting Buddhist ideas and practices. In our opinion, the results of creative mythological activity, as well as totemistic, animistic, ritual and symbolic knowledge of the people, are clearly manifested in subsequent religious cultures, modernizing, transforming and evolving in accordance with the social, economic and political demands of society.
