Abstract

The constructed social portrait of rural high school students provided an opportunity to identify a systemically integrated set of characteristics of the studied social group (terminal and instrumental values, lifestyle, attitude to the small motherland, patriotism, social activity, structure of free time, presence in virtual space, cognitive needs, life plans, structure and content of communication of high school students in the family and school, proposals of young people to improve the cultural potential of the local community, etc.). This allows us to find solutions of many pressing problems faced by rural youth. The authors come to the conclusion that the problems of youth at the municipal level should be solved with the active participation of young people themselves in the systemic interaction of government structures, business, family, school, mass media, and public organizations of the socially active population.
