Abstract
During the implementation of the federal course on the development of the digital economy, initiatives aimed at involving citizens in the process of making managerial decisions receive political support. Currently, they are developing most productively at the municipal level of government, with the exception of Moscow as a city of federal significance. The article is devoted to the analysis of the experience of functioning the capital platform «Active Citizen» as the most successful crowdsourcing project in the Russian Federation and answers questions about the features and prospects for the development of digital forms of political participation in Russia.
