Abstract

The article presents the demographic indicators in the Mongolian society in historical and modern aspects. On the basе of statistical data, the author analyzes the dynamics of population change and the ethno-social structure of Mongolia. Mongolia is one of the countries with a relatively young population, continuing demographic growth and a positive trend in the future. The author lists main factors due to which a steady population growth in the country is maintained: they are traditionalism, state internal policy, improvement of social infrastructure facilities. In the context of a transforming society, inseparable companions of the socio-economic sphere are negative social phenomena and processes, the overcoming of which will significantly improve the demographic indicators in the country.
