Abstract
The author discusses changes in the composition of the Far Eastern population during 1991-2015, and in more detail for 2011-2015. The factors caused outflows of population beyond the Far East have been described. The analysis of the structure of migration flows in the regions of the Russian Far East has been presented. The role and importance in changing the Far Eastern population, intraregional migration flows, migration interaction with the federal districts of Russia and external migration (CIS and far abroad countries) have been analyzed. Migration relations between subjects of the Russian Far East are shown. It is stressed that the Far East is not competitive in compared with the other Federal districts of Russia, which is confirmed by the outflow of the population, the main trend in migration processes being oriented to the Central, North-Western and Southern Federal districts.
