Abstract
Object of the Study. The Far East of Russia.
Subject of the Study. The demographic situation of the Russian Far East.
Contents of the Article. The paper proves the low effectiveness of measures taken in the Far East region to solve its demographic problems. The author offers an innovative approach to changing the demographic situation, based on using the information potential of the employment sector, the assessment of which is given in the work.
Purpose of the Study. Substantiating the necessity and possibility of using the information potential of the employment sector for the development of the region at a qualitatively new level.
