Abstract

This article contains analysis and evaluation of several sections and fragments of the monograph ‘Precarity of employment: Global and Russian contexts of the future of work’ (which was published by ‘RealPrint’ in 2017). It also includes personal opinions of reviewers about most debatable and principal points. N.A. Volgin and L.N. Shirokova pointed out three advantages of the monograph. The first advantage is in-depth research of the theoretical and methodological aspects of the main subject of the study of precarious work and its surrounding structural components. The second advantage of the book consists in its actuality and particular modern resonance. It is enough to say that the proportion of workers with precarious forms of employment and their varieties in the world already exceeds 50 percent. The third advantage of the collective monograph is its unique group of authors, which includes national and foreign scientists, widely known in Russia specialists and young researchers, representatives of education, science, and practitioners. The second part of the article includes positions of reviewers and authors of the monograph about ways of solving problems, related to social consequences of economic reforms, development of labor market, minimum wage and precarious employment, flexible and atypical forms of employment.
