Abstract

Relevance. The article is devoted to the study of the process of formation of historical sociology as a science and opportunities for interdisciplinary analysis of social process. Subject. The authors reveal the stages of development of historical sociology as a scientific branch of knowledge in Russia which may become a methodological basis of the study of national and regional development of the Russian society. They study characteristics of knowledge of Russian scientists concerning social problems of development of national public process of Russia and the specificity of formation of the Russian scientific knowledge. Task Setting. Researchers define the specificity of historical sociology as a scientific branch of knowledge, categorical framework of which promotes the study of historical perspectives of the transformation of Russian society.
