Abstract

Relevance. The authors analyze the social wellbeing of the Cossacks in the Altay Kray on the basis of empirical sociological criteria. Subject of the Study. The article presents a description of the main criteria of wellbeing of the population, reveals relevant information about the satisfaction of the Cossacks of the Altay Kray with their financial situation, the emotional state and ethno-cultural identity of the Cossacks.  The authors of the article consider the problems of the Cossacks, a traditional community in the Altay, the issues of ethno-cultural identification and attitudes towards the authorities.
