Abstract

Nowadays modern approaches to human resource management manifest themselves in the labour market and the employment sphere as new challenges and problems appear, which affect the nature of the socio-labour relations between employers and employees. The discomposure, which exists among of international scientific community about these processes has been reflected in a number of studies. However, despite the profound interest being taken by scientists in the long-existing, as well as the new contradictions in the employment sphere, there remains a need to monitor the changes that result in the appearance of stable trends. This paper presents the preliminary results of a survey conducted by the members of an international research network in six countries. The survey dealt with the significant differences in the structure and level of development of socio-economic systems. As the object of the monitoring study are the socio-labour relations in such aspects as the relations of employment and vocational activities in the workplace. The subject of the studying of the transformation processes in the socio-labour relations at the present stage of their development is the evaluation by the employees of enterprises in various sectors of the economy of the aforementioned changes in the form of a comparative analysis of the results of a sociological survey conducted in some countries in Eastern and Western Europe, and the Middle East. The theoretical side of the subject is based on the concepts of precarious employment and social pollution from economic activities of businesses. The empirical side of the object is expounded on the results of cross-country sociological survey of employees of enterprises in various economy sectors in countries with different socio-economic systems. The aim of the research is to monitor the changes taking place in labour relations between employees and employers. It also seeks to identify the differences and common regularities, as well to examine the nature of toxic elements extant in labour relations, which are considered by authors to be the phenomena of social pollution phenomena. The main theoretical provisions of the paper consider previous published research results of scientists from different countries in the area of influence of the organization, and conditions of employment, as well as human resource management practices in an organization on the physical health and psychosocial well-being of workers. The main empirical provisions of the paper contain a synthesis and analysis of the sociological survey conducted by the authors in Russia and abroad, in collaboration with scientists from studied countries.
