Abstract

Purpose. Analyzing demographic trends socioeconomic status, statistical data and the level of monitoring results, and the quality of life of elderly Muscovites. Subject. The subject of the study covers the system of socioeconomic and demographic indicators: general demographic characteristics of the population, the age structure of the population by category (under working age working age over working age, older people). Besides comprehensive monitoring of the level and quality of life of older Muscovites and the gender and age structure of the population of Moscow have been analyzed, new demographic structures (family groups consisting of relatives working age, disabled respondents) in particular attention is paid to the financial security of the elderly, pensions of older people, social surcharge to pension, social support for pensioners. The dynamics of the size and the main types of financial security is considered. The data of integrated assessment by respondents of their financial position and views on the level of their financial situation have been presented.
